 This week for Chapter Chat I did Bessie in her pink frilly night gown from the book code name bananas! 

Case Closed

 Today Mrs Taaffe confessed she said, that she stole the dongle and chocolates. She said that she came into work on Saturday the 10th of October,  to drop some things off and was missing her HDMI cable so, she thought she would take the Whetu dongle and then she saw the chocolates and thought that it was the holiday so no one would notice so she took some and ran out the door but she dropped some so she ran  then stopped by the bush to see if the door closed behind her and it did and when she was trying to open the door it wouldn't open so she cut her hand on the edge of the door. Mrs Taaffe was also here on the day!

 This is the secret code that I had to do. I really enjoyed doing it because it was hard at the start but then it started to get easier. 

Letter Of The Week

This is my letter of the week. The letter was C and I had to complete ten questions for letter of the week.

Athletics Day

Yesterday was athletics. My favourite event was long jump because after the first go when I didn't even take off from the mat it was pretty easy after that because I knew how not to do it. The most challenging event was high jump because I didn't even make it over the pole once. Before events I felt pretty nervous and almost forgot how to do everything. The most easy event was shot put because shot put is the easiest event to remember apart from running.

Lifting fingerprints

 Today I lifted a finger print from the widow first I had to rub my thumb in my hair to make it greasy then I pressed my thumb lightly on the window and then Mrs Kennedy put tape on the window on top of my finger print and then i pressed the tape only where my finger print was then I took the tape off and placed it onto black paper. you cant really see my finger print though.

Forensics & Fingerprints

Today we did fingerprints with ink so we had to find a buddy and write our names on the paper that we would put our finger prints on so we had to put our fingers in ink we started with our thumb then ended with our little finger we had to put the ink on our finger print or thumb print. It was really fun and I really enjoyed it.

 For this mystery I worked with Maia and OJ to do this maths mystery. we think that it is Hanna.

Medal Mystery

 This is the medal mystery for this week. It was pretty hard because we got clue 4 wrong. I worked with Jolie to do the medal mystery. We think its Claire White.

Chapter Chat

 This week for chapter chat I did a word barf. which is where yo just say all the words that you are thinking about. I did it because in the book wink it says that Ross kept saying stuff and didn't stop for a breath.

Animals Turning Clockwise

 This week for maths investigation we did turning animals clockwise it was really fun to do when I figured out how to do it.

Workshop Reflection

 Whetū Workshops Reflection

During Term 2 and 3 the Whetū students have had the opportunity to be involved in a range of different workshops.

The workshop that I have enjoyed participating in the most has been dance because I always want to do dance so my cousin teaches me sometime when she comes.

The new learning that I have learnt is when you mix vinegar and baking soda and put a balloon on top of the bottle itblows up the balloon.

What I have most enjoyed about the workshops are getting to do them three days a week so I can do more.

 I am interested in learning more about dance because I really enjoyed doing dance.

Art Term 3

 This is my art that i finished today it was really fun to do.  The part I enjoyed the most was colouring all the stuff. The most challenging part was thinking what to do. I think that in the end it looks very good.

Cooking Comment!!!!!

 This week I chose to join the cooking workshop option.

On the first day we went through the safety sheets and planned what we were making and what to bring.

The second day we chopped up our ingredients that we brought.  

The third day we ate the soup and it tasted good.

The part I liked the most was chopping up my onion that I brought even though it stung my eyes so badly.

On Thursday we did Cross country.

The most challenging part as having to do 3 laps because it felt like it took so long to do the 3 laps.

The part I enjoyed the most was after my race I went and brought 2 juices and I gave one to my brother and he was so happy.

We did cross country in the Ngatea domain because we couldn't go to the farm that we usually go to for cross country.

 This week we started chapter chat for the book Wink. The main character in wink has a eye cancer the main characters name is Ross. I drew a panic meter because in the book he said in his head that it would be greatn if the docter had a panic meter and pointed to how freaked out he should be.
