Fabulous finish term 4 CC

This is my fabulous finish. I did Patty from the story we read called Ghost. Patty's actual name is Patina. Patty's Mum has no legs so she put Patty and Patty's little sister up for adoption. Patty is really nice and has nice friends. I really liked making patty because I think It really turned out great because I took my time and tried hard to make it my best.

Bush shelter survival

What is the S.T.O.P  acronym
1. Stop what you are doing.
2. Think about what you are going to do.
3. Observe everything around you.
4. Plan your next move and how your gonna survive.

Finding fresh water.
In the wilderness, water is very important to have so you stay hydrated.
1. Dig somewhere wet - there will be a good chance that
there will be water.
2. Find a river or a lake- you can boil the water in the sun.
3. Catch some water from the rain - you can get a lot of rainwater
very quickly when it rains.

Shelter.
Shelter is one of the key things to have in the wild.
1. Build on high ground - just encase someone sends people looking for you.
2. Build near water - if you build near water you will have a easy water source.
3. Build on flat ground - you don't want to roll down a hill in your sleep.

 How to start a fire.
Fire is good to have in the wild because it can make you warm
and it can cook your food.
1. Gather a lot of wood - just in case your wood runs out.
2. Have a shovel with you - so you can put dirt over the fire if it gets to wild and if you run out of
the water to put the fire out.
3. Make sure you have water - so you can put the fire out if it goes wild.

Basic first aid.
1. Bandages - just if you get a cut or start bleeding.
2. Bug repellent - there are a lot of bugs in the wild and the bugs don't like bug repellent
3. Medicine - just in case you are allergic to something in the wild.

Signal for help.
1. Signal using smoke and fire - People will see the smoke and think your stuck or in
danger.
2. S.O.S Signal - SOS means to save our souls and if someone sees it they will try to
find you.
3. Flare gun - these are sort of loud and someone might hear it and come to rescue you.

Clove Hitch

This knot is the clove hitch. This knot can be used as a binding knot and pulling chairs. This knot is easy and quick. I like this knot because it is easy and quick. I give this knot a 1/5 because it's really easy. This knot is really cool and quick. This knot is cool because it looks like a cross.

Figure Eight Knot.

This knot is called a figure-eight knot. This knot is good for mountain climbers. This knot is very hard to make. I give this knot a 2/5 because it's really hard. I like this knot because it makes an eight if you do it right.

Reef Knot

This week for our survivor we mastered 3 knots.
This is a reef knot it was hard at first but then when you have tied it once it's really easy to tie. Reef knots are good for moving things. I really like this knot because it is easy when you have tied it once. I would give it a 3/5 because it is hard at first. This knot is really fun to make.

Pick'n Mix CC W5 T4

For my Chapter Chat, I did a shoplifting poster. Ghost stole the shoes because they felt so good on his feet but they were so expensive so he put them in his bag and put the lid on the box that the shoes were in. When he got out of the store he ran fast because he thought there might be people looking for him. a little bit later in the story Coach, Brody went to grab the uniforms from the same shop and there was a piece of paper on the wall and it had Ghost on it and under the photo of Ghost it said "Shoplifter."

Putting up a tent!!!

Putting up the tent was way easier than taking it down. I liked how we worked as a team and helped each other out. The hardest part was taking down the tent. The easiest part was getting the photo taken. My favourite thing about when we built it is that we all helped each other and worked as a team!!!

Kaka tent ideas

The first tent we are aiming to create is called the A-frame.
An A-frame is a structure where you use 2 sturdy trees to help your structure stand.
The benefits of this tent is that it is quick and easy to build.
It is also waterproof, even when it’s pouring down hard, this tent will stay up and protect you.
We chose this structure because it’s simple and looks sturdy.
We also chose this structure because we think it’ll be fun to work as a team and create the A-frame.

The second structure our team will be creating is called the lean-to.
The lean-to is a structure where you pitch a tent between two strong trees.
The lean-to specializes in keeping wind out. You put one long side the way the wind is blowing.
It is also good when your building a fire because you can build it closer to you so the wind can't blow
it out.  As a team we chose this structure because it can keep the wind out and most of all
because it looked cool.

Away with words CC W4 T4

Chapter Chat
For Chapter Chat I did Away With Words and I made an acrostic poem with Ghost's name. for the G I put Great at running because he's very good at running. For the H I put Horrid past because of his Dad trying to shoot him and his Mum. For the O I put Official shoplifter because he stole the shoes from "everything sports". For the S I put So super sporty because he is really sporty. for the T I put Tremendously fast because Ghost is so so so fast.

Shelter Building

   Shelter Building

Try to build on a flat but high surface.
 Build on dry ground.
 Try and build near water.
Choose a spot close to trees.
You can make a shelter under fallen trees.
You should try to build on high ground so it's easy for a search party to find you.
Try and build on the dry ground so you won't get cold.
Try and build near water so you can get an easy water source.
You can build an A-frame with just two sticks about 4 feet long and one stick about 11 feet long.
The shelter should protect you from water.
You can use sticks, leaves, fallen trees.
the best place to build a shelter is near water, high ground, dry ground, and flat ground.
          Good places to build:
  • Flat ground.
  • High ground.
  • Near water.
  • Dry ground.
  • By some trees.
Pros:
